This past Sunday at high noon Camelback played Scottsdale for the division three Championship of the southwest rugby union.
A highly contested and hard fought match found Scottsdale victorious 43 to 26.

Camelback had a very challenging learning curve, the first four matches of the year.
With two divisions in Arizona, this writer is concerned as to why the first four matches had the three d2 teams and the top seed in d3.
Traveling to Las Vegas for the first match of the year, found Camelback learning from their mistakes. Local match versus Scottsdale another hard fought match, with continued learning.
Camelback gained some confidence playing a tough hard match versus red Mountain to a tie.
Camelback lead Tempe for most of the match, losing at the end.
In all of these matches, Camelback never quit, continuing to tackle as hard at the end of the matches as at the beginning. As the season grew on, the players started trusting each other more and that is how they ended up in the championship match.
