The alumni of Camelback Rugby Club have formed a tax-exempt entity with a mission to perpetuate Camelback Rugby Club and encourage development and participation in the game of rugby. The main objectives of Camelback Rugby Foundation are to create a separate tax entity that can raise and hold funds available to Camelback Rugby Club and other deserving entities as well as connect current members and alumni. This foundation is led by a group of former officers and captains dedicated to Camelback Rugby Club (“The Club”).

CRF will manage major fundraising activities, including annual sponsorships and the Camelback Rugby Club Annual Golf Tournament. CRF will also take responsibility for certain administrative functions and expenses like the website and sponsor relations. It is anticipated that CRF will make an annual donation to the club based on The Club’s current needs and budgetary constraints. The foundation will focus on fundraising and budgeting for capital costs such as equipment, scholarships and playoff travel. The club will focus on the annual budget and day-to-day expenses and revenue management. Members of the foundation are open to meeting with representatives of The Club to discuss it in more detail. The main function of the CRF is to provide financial assistance and guidance to The Club. In order for CRF to create expectations and make decisions, it will need financial information from The Club on a regular basis. Basic budget formats are set forth in the attached excel doc for both Camelback Rugby Club and Camelback Rugby Foundation.
